By reputation, East African washed coffees are refined and balanced. If this coffee were a beer, it would be a sparkling, sunny German pilsner. The Nura Kurate Cooperative is located in the Dara district at an altitude of nearly 6,000 feet and produces luscious, lightly lemony coffees with warm cocoa and honey notes and a clean flowery aroma. Beans are roasted on the light side to preserve its volatile aromatics and vibrant character. Excellent as a compliment to french toast with maple syrup in the morning or along side a fruit compote after a hardy dinner.
